Hi Omar

I informed the R-Forge team about this problem but they haven't fixed this yet. As attachments can be uploaded in R-Forge's "tracker" system, I suggest that you post a copy of your question with the MPS file in linprog's "support" or "bugs" tracker.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

/Arne

My file is also not attached :-( It seems that the "file attachment" mechanism is broken. I will contact the R-Forge team.

I think that the MPS file is still not attached; your message says "No attachment found" (see attached screenshot).

Hi Omar

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I suggest that you upload your file "DEFORSA.Mps" (or a file that is similar and causes the same error), because it is nearly impossible to find out the problem without a reproducible example.

Dear friends
I am Omar Carrero, a PhD student at NCSU. I found your email in the document coming with the package linprog, that is why I would like to ask you a question.
I have trying to read a MPS file as you can see below. However I received an error message. When I checked my file (MPS) the file seems to be correct. In the second or third column of the row section is the letter
indicating the constraint direction using the letter N, E, L or G. I do not know what could be causing the error message.

Thanks for your help

Omar

PD: I am attaching the file that I trying to read
> lp<-readMps("DEFORSA.Mps",solve=TRUE,maximum=TRUE)
Error in readMps("DEFORSA.Mps", solve = TRUE, maximum = TRUE) :
the 2nd or 3rd column of the rows section must be 'N', 'E', 'L' or 'G'
