Dear Jim This forum is about the R package "frontier" -- it is NOT about the stand-alone software "FRONTIER 4.1". Given that the R package "frontier" has several advantages over "FRONTIER 4.1" (see, e.g., http://frontier.r-forge.r-project.org/), I highly recommend that you use the R package "frontier" rather than "FRONTIER 4.1". Anyway, your estimation output indicates that the estimate of gamma is virtually zero so that all efficiency scores are all virtually one (fully efficient). Best regards, Arne |

Dear all, I would like to ask you about the eff score in frontier4.1. My model is a translog cost function. the result firm eff.-est. 1 0.10008211E+01 2 0.10008212E+01 3 0.10008209E+01 4 0.10008212E+01 5 0.10008208E+01 . . my question is why eff score are almost the same ??? Jim |
