I will have to look a it, once SVN is set up at Manuel's. I added rdrop and cdrop for this purpose, but it works only on matrix like objects. Should we make it into a generic function, so that a method for mefa class can be added? It is just an easy wrapper for the [ method. What about empty segments? Is fulldrop intends to drop empty segments as well? Should it be part of the [ method argument list, or it is cleaner to redesign the method? E.g. an mdrop (or mefadrop) method could handle all dimensions via a MARGIN argument, that can be 1:3 by default (drop all indices with margin 0 or some threshold). |

Have added a simple option fulldrop to extract.mefa.R with which xtab is reduced to non-zero lines only. It works fine in the tests I did, not sure for nesterd segments. |
