Monitor Forum | Start New Threadunknown reason endless loop in package snow and CHAID [ Reply ] By: Jionghua Wang on 2017-11-13 07:57 | [forum:45456] |
I am using the package snow to par a CHAID tree. However, it always stops without reason. Here is my code: no_cores <- 4 cl <- makeCluster(no_cores,outfile=EvInf$outfile,type = "SOCK") pas=append(pas, clusterApply(cl, 1:SubTestDataSize, FunEv,d2,NULL,EvInf)) stopCluster(cl=NULL) FunEv is the CHAID part chaid(Type ~ Father + Mother + Edu + Gender, data = subd2, na.action = na.pass, control = ctrl, weights = subwi ) It just get a good running for 300-400 case and stunk in an endless loop (the programme can't call back a CHAID tree result). By monitoring the process, it seems that only one process from 4 has this problem. As if I want to finish an iteration from 1 to 100 with 4 cores, it will be processed as 1:4 5:8 ... 96:100. so the failure in on process seems to stop the whole iteration. |
