Create a population size [ Reply ]

Hi

I am quite new to R and hopefully someone can guide me on this. I am looking to create a population of 1000 customers who can potentially fall into any one of the 100 categories. I would like to have a population that contains all possibilities available ie 100,000 possibilities.

I tried running "permutations" but it just takes to long of a time to generate the datasets I require. I would appreciate if someone can point to a better way of going about it.
