DatABEL files > 4GB on windows are problematic

Detailed description
Reported by C. Sikorska in a presentation: using DatABEL on Windows with files > 4GB is problematic.

I am not sure what the exect problem is. Maybe related to FAT32 (which has a 4GB limit on file size)?

I verified that this is not an issue on Linux (x86_64).

The file system used was NTFS, so that wasn't the problem.

Maybe related to bug #2174 [1] in which DatABEL reports the system is 32 bit when it is actually 64 bit Windows 7?
